Our Play is Purposeful

We intentionally create engaging environments and use play to help the children develop specific skills or knowledge. Students learn to socialize, play alongside and engage with friends, and to share. Throughout their day, there are many small group opportunities for children to become comfortable connecting with peers and adults.

Students progress through these developmental areas at different rates and we guide them by meeting them where they are, showing them the next step, and helping them reach those goals at their own pace. ​

What will students be able to do when they leave Hosanna! Preschool?

Our goal is for all students to meet and exceed the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards by the time they leave Hosanna! Preschool and enter Kindergarten.

  • Children learn how to listen to another adult, follow directions, sit with a group for circle time, and transition from play to clean up time. 
  • Our preschoolers gain independence in many practical ways such as learning to put on their outerwear.
  • Students develop creativity and imagination.
